I had to go to an Orientation today for Kamehameha schools since I recieved scholarship money to finish my graduate program at U.H. After the orientation I was tired and wanted to go home but my mom convinced me to go to Manuheali'i (a store with gorgeous Hawaiian patterned clothes). We went shopping and then stopped off at Baskin Robins for some ice cream.
I was full from the luncheon I had at Kamehameha but waited for my mom to get her ice cream. We get into the car and about two minutes later she's upset because she doesn't like her ice cream. She has me taste it and even I have to admit that it doesn't taste too good. It left some sort of funny after taste in my mouth.
We get home and I ask her, "What is this flavor so I don't ever get it?" She says, "Almond Mo Cha." I go, "You mean Almond Mocha?" She says, "No, I mean Mo Cha; that's how it was spelled!" So I inform her that Mo Cha is really Mocha and that's just another form of Coffee so no wonder we thought it tasted funny. She looked at the ice cream in her hand, then at me, and at the same time we started laughing hysterically.
My mom...so inncocent when it comes to the world. I teased her for a good hour as I pronounced other words differently; pretending to be her in Baskin Robins trying to order regular ice cream. Like, "May I please try your Van Ila" (vanilla), "Or maybe some Chalk late" (Chocolate).

LOL! That sounds like something my mom did... she bought a coffee drink from Cinnabon and full on liked it and wanted more... she never knew it was an ice coffee... she asked the people what it was and when they told her coffee she was so shame! LOL!
I myself happen to love coffee ice cream... I'm still trying to figure out if that's against the Word of Wisdom since ice cream isn't a hot beverage... lol.
Haha! That's so funny! I can see you teasing your mom!
