What's up with the Governor's?

So everyone knows about the recent scandal of Governor Mark Sanford. And who can forget Blagojevich? Well here in Hawaii the idiocy of Governor's has not ended. Gov. Linda Lingle has decided to keep up with the rest of the country and tick off the citizens living in her state.

Linda Lingle basically declared war on all state employees. Not only is she increasing our insurance premiums 18% but she's also instituting furloughs (days we are required to take off without getting paid) She claims it's being done in an effort to save money. Sure Linda, sure. Never mind that the money she received from the stimulus package was supposed to help us; instead she's decided to use it for the State's debt (WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT OBAMA SAID YOU COULDN'T DO!!!!)

Now because of this Governor I'm out of the best insurance I've ever had and my position's been cut because my school can't afford it. But not only has Governor Lingle messed with teachers and our union HSTA, she's messing with all the other unions too: HGEA, UHM, all of them. Everyone who's a STATE employee is getting hit and hit hard. Furlough days are going to be so much that the police are going to have to take over when the state workers are forced to stay home.

Brilliant Linda! Spread the ones who keep order thin that way we're not only getting robed by you but we'll also be attacked by criminals who probably lost their job because of you in the first place!

I just want to scream! I can't believe our Governor is getting away with this and that her scandal hasn't hit the news other than Hawaii. As far as I'm concerned, Governor Linda Lingle is just as corrupt as Blagojevich and just as immoral as Sandford.

A rally will be held tonight at the state capitol to protest this woman and her idiocy. You can't fix stupid and there's no fixing her. And personally I'm all for sterilization of stupid people. Hopefully the children of these morons don't procreate, or our children are screwed too.

TRANSFORMERS

Okay, so I didn't want to see "Transformers" on opening day because I knew EVERYONE else was going to be there too. But Rabici was dying to go and he rarely wants things, so I caved. I'm glad I did because the movie was awesome. All the hype surrounding it and the coverage for it was dead on. It was nonstop action throughout the whole thing!

We ended up going to the 10:50 PM showing because all the other ones were sold out. Then we had to stand in line for 40 minutes so we could get good seats! There were so many people that the theater made a second 10:50pm showing so everyone could see the movie. I would've gone to another theater but the only other theater in Kaneohe isn't showing Transformers until FRIDAY!!! Hello! That was dumb! The theater in the mall made a killing last night. The tickets alone are expensive but then everyone was getting drinks and snacks...they made a fortune off of all of us hard working people.

Even though we didn't get out until 1:30 AM, I was still awake during the movie since it was nonstop action the whole way through. But with that said I do have some questions...or gripes...depends on how you look at it.

1) What's up with this "ALL-SPARK"? Why is it that every machine it comes in contact with turns it into a Decepticon? Why are none of them being turned into a good guy or an Auto-bot?

2) What's up with the camera guy running everywhere Shia Lebeouf is running? Can we say Blair witch project? I felt so nauseated.

3) Why are there no female auto-bots? What, we're not good enough to turn into machines? And there aren't any female Decepticons either. Sexists! Girls make great villians! Not only can we kill people and blow things up, but we do it while looking cute. In the movie there's 3 female autobots who are ninja bikes but after the one speaking line they have, they get killed. They show the girls for two seconds and as one of them is speaking she gets killed. What's up with that? Jealous much?

4) Why do Optimus Prime's ancestors look exactly like the bad Fallen dude? They all look alike...and that's weird. Optimus doesn't look like Megatron and they're brothers! Did our imaginations just wear out towards the end Michael Bay? Did we just not have the energy to continue thinking up designs for these guys?

So basically that was my Wednesday night. Next movie I'm looking forward to: Harry Potter Half-blood Prince. YEA!

Happy Anniversary...NOT

So last week marked Rabici and my 4th year anniversary. And how did we spend it? In the hospital! That's right...we celebrated 4 years of marriage courtesy of Castle Medical Center. (GRRRRRR)

Basically I started getting these horrible stomach cramps Tuesday afternoon and they lasted all night. By 3 in the morning I felt like I was dying and knew I had to get to the emergency room. I didn't want to wake up Rabici to take me since he's got no more sick days for a while and he needed his rest to go to work. So i drove myself to the E.R. I know, stupid, but I really didn't want to wake him or have him miss work.

I arrived safely and they wheeled me into the birth center where they gave me test after test to figure out what was wrong. The baby was fine (nothing is ever wrong with her, it always seems to be me) and so they stuck an I.V. in and gave me pain meds. About 8 hours later I woke up with the chills and a fever of 102 degrees. I was vomiting and doing many other bodily things I will NOT mention.

They took me off of food and drink for 2 days and then slowly introduced food afterwards. I only started feeling better yesterday, Sunday, but I'm still not myself yet. All the doctors could tell me was that I had the stomach flu though I think it was something more. My body's kind of out-of-whack and I still feel nauseous and gross.

I know some of you were calling me this weekend and trying to get a hold of me and I am so super sorry! I just couldn't even raise my hand let alone talk to anyone. One thing that did cheer us up was that Aubrey dropped off a package from the young married group in our ward. It was a huge package filled with a DVD player, DVD's, cider, glasses, candles and candy. (They knew we were celebrating our anniversary in the hospital and sent us that treat) It was the nicest, most sincere gift I've ever received and I'm so grateful to have friends like that on the same island with me!! Rabici and I were so grateful.

Now I'm home and slowly getting back to normal. I'm also wondering how many of these episodes I'm going to have before I give birth. Don't get me wrong, words cannot express how grateful I am that nothing is wrong with baby, but at the same time I can't help but think about all the health problems I've had so far! But...now that I think about it more...maybe I only think it's harder because I'm pregnant. If all these health problems happened when I wasn't pregnant, I don't think I'd be complaining as much.

Hmmm. Interesting. I think I may be on to something here.

Anyway, thanks for all those who gave me your prayers and well wishes. I'm getting better. For those who didn't know...sorry, but I don't like telling people until after I'm done suffering! :)

And by the way ladies of Kaneohe 4th ward....NO meals! I mean it!

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!

So Rabici and I went into the doctor on Wednesday for a check up and to get another ultra sound done. But my doctor said I couldn't get another one until I was 30 weeks. We were sad but decided to do other things and prep for baby. Well, I went to a store called "Hot Mama" to look at Maternity clothes and while we we were there Rabici saw a brochure for a place called "TomorrowToday"; an ultra sound company. They had different packages you could purchase in order to see pictures of your baby...and they look for gender (unlike the hospital which looks for diagnostic, and the overall health of your baby first).

So we found out they were in town and decided to do it. And there she was in all her glory, legs open wide, with an umbilical cord right between her legs! She is so stubborn! But with some moving around we got a glimpse and saw 3 lines which means she's a girl. What's funny is she kept moving her hands in front of her face every time we tried to look at her bum or between her legs; she's so modest.
