Don't Talk - Angry Voicemail (Censored)

I came across this piece of news while browsing the web. Hillarious! A woman was kicked out of a theater for texting. (I hate people who text in a theater. It totally ruins my movie experience!) Anyway, she was kicked out per the theaters policy and she was so upset she left a voicemail message.

They turned that voicemail message into a PSA announcement at the the theater to warn people they will kick them out. It's so funny. And leave it to good ol' Texas not to care about ticking someone off.

I love the Magnited States of America (Watch the video and you'll understand)

Kyra and the bath

So I saw that I have all these pictures and videos of Kyra doing many different things. I'm going to post of all of them one by one.

Today is Kyra taking a bath! She is so funny. I love enjoying these small moments with her.

Thor

Ok, so comic books turned into movies are not my thing. Heck, comic books aren't my thing. But I must admit that I am somewhat excited/interested to see Thor. I think it's because I've been craving an action-packed, blow-things-up-in-my-face-constantly, guy-who-isn't-Robert-Pattinson movie.

Lightning and Thunder and Black outs....oh my!

So last night was the strangest night! There was thunder which practically shook our apartment building. Then the lightning was so big it lit up the sky where I almost thought it was day time.

Then the power went out for an hour and a half! I'm talking Pitch Black darkness! I scrambled around the house trying to find a radio and a flashlight. Since we live with my parents now, I had no idea where their emergency things were. When I finally fond the flashlights, the batteries were dead! I had to search for the batteries so we could look for the radio.

My mom has one of those crank radios so I cranked it for 2 minutes straight because that was supposed to give me 15 minutes of radio time. It didn't! I got 30 seconds of radio time.

Luckily I brought with me a radio/light/emergency signal radio with me from my house so I found that and tuned in. Turns out there was an electricity surge that knocked out half the island.

And not only that! While the thunder and lightning was going on, and the power was out, there were funnels out in the ocean. People on the radio kept calling them tornadoes. I was freaking out because there was no TV to see it and we were stuck in the house.

Needless to say, May 2, 2011 was a very strange and freaky night. Kyra just called out my name the whole time because she wasn't used to the room being so dark. It was kind of cute hearing her say "mom?.....MOM!!!!". I know she was terrified, but it made me feel loved since she didn't call out for her dad. (hehehehehe)

Mana & Kyra

I was going through the pictures and videos I have and found this one of Kyra and her cousin Mana. They were playing in a bucket at my brother's house and I filmed it because they just looked too cute! This video is from January though, so they are both bigger and taller now.

Yo gabba gabba?

My nephew Mana is turning 2 and we're having a big bash for him in Hilo in the summer. Here are the invites for the party:

So who can answer this....who in the world is y0 gabbagabba? Is that even a word? Apparently Mana loves this show....what show is this?! Where does this play? Who came up with it?

So many questions....so little time! If anyone knows what this is, please help a sister out!

Losing weight with Dad

Surprisingly, I lost a lot of weight after I had Kyra...mainly because I was so sick! Well I'm starting to get a whole lot of weight back and I'm freaking out. So my dad and I decided to go on a diet.

A full on...oh my gosh...we are reworking our eating and exercise patterns full scale...diet.

More specifically, NUTRISYTEM! I don't know how many of my friends and family have tried this but if you have please let me know how successful...or unsuccessful...it was. I think a major problem for me and weight is that I'm super busy and I stress eat to get food. Since I'm so busy I have no time to make healthy food for myself. My dad has the same problem.

So...we are going to team up and do this. I am going to be dedicating some posts on my progress (or lack thereof). If this works, I want to shout it to the world. If it doesn't...I want to shout it to the world.

Fat girls unite! We need to help each other be healthier and happier. My goal is to lose 70-80 pounds in order for me to be at a healthy weight for someone my height. I'll give all the embarrassing details once the meals come in and I'm filling out the details! :)

Please feel free to give me other advice, tips and ideas on how to lose weight the healthy way. I've also placed a bet with my dad. If I lose more weight then I get to go to Disneyland at the end of this year!!!! If my dad wins then I need to pay him the $1,000 it would cost to go to Disneyland!

SO HELP! I need to lose weight and win this bet!

Vote for me!

Hey everyone! I haven't blogged in a month so if no one reads this...that's cool. BUT, Hawaiian airlines is having a contest that ends on the 8th. Basically you go to their website, choose the 6 destinations you would like to visit, create a "passport" and you have entered!

Here's the thing: The grand prize is a trip to the number 1 place you picked. The first prize is 100,000 Hawaiian miles. But you can only get the first prize if you have the most "likes". So please, please, please go to aloha.hawaiianairlines.com, find my passport and click "like". I would love to get those miles so I can actually come and visit most of you who left Hawaii!!!!

Here's the pics I used for my passport so you recognize it:

Valentines Day

Since Valentines was on a Monday, Rabici and I celebrated on Saturday the 12th. We went to Germaine's Luau since we're on this new mission to try out everything in the "101 things to do on Oahu" magazine.

We've already been to the PCC luau (which is still way better) and Paradise Cove Luau. Overall PCC is still number 1 with the best dancers and food. Paradise Cove is a close second with the food but not the dancers. Plus they do cultural things with the guests that are fun. Last would be Germaine's with great dancers but junk food.

Here are some pics from Germaine's Luau:
